BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – After signing her National Letter of Intent last fall on Nov.
11, Callie Bauer will join WKU Volleyball for the spring 2021 semester following her
early graduation from high school. A 5-11 setter from Hudson, Mich., Bauer will have
the opportunity to train and develop with the Hilltoppers this spring.
Bauer will be the most recent addition to a long line of impactful setters on The
Hill and will get started working with one of the best to ever facilitate at WKU –
assistant coach Jessica Lucas.
While Bauer will not be eligible to compete for the spring 2021 campaign, the staff
is still excited to get to work with her.
“We think Callie has the raw potential to be one of the future elite setters in the
country, and we’re really, really excited to get to work with her,” head coach
Travis Hudson shared when on National Signing Day.
The daughter of Jim and Tricia Bauer, Callie has an older sibling, Caiden. She
intends to major in graphic design during her time on The Hill.
Bauer brings the Hilltoppers’ roster to 15 for spring 2021 and joins the Conference
USA Preseason favorites in the East Division ahead of a highly-anticipated follow-up
season to the 2019 campaign.
